Last month Bruce Kuwabara (founding partner at KPMB Architects) presented as Agne's Frances K. Smith Lecturer in Canadian Art, exploring how architecture can be a catalyst for reimagining the world. He shared projects that reflect an understanding of shifting social, economic and political landscapes, and spoke about deliberate change;
"How does/ can architecture influence the way we live and how we relate to each other? We know architecture has the power to shape experience and relationships in space and time, and we know architecture can nurture communities. But can architecture change mindsets and attitudes and support changing values and structures?"
An inspiring talk that deserves more air/ screen time.
